What's new in GO Publisher 2.0

Our developers have been very busy coding, so there's a lot of great new stuff in version 2.0. Here's a snapshot of the Top 10 new additions.

1. Web Feature Service 2.0

Distribute your data via the latest web service standard. Mandated as part of the INSPIRE Network Services implementing rules, WFS 2.0 is an critical element of your INSPIRE implementation. But its not just about INSPIRE, WFS 2.0 is also ISO19142 and is recommended as best practice in numerous domains including: Aviation, Meteorology and Geosciences
   

2. Integrated data validation

Validate, preview and fix your XML/GML within GO Publisher 2.0 before deployment. This vital new feature allows you to validate and correct your data to your publishing schema right from within GO Publisher Desktop. No more need for additional tools for data validation, saving you money. No more need to copy and paste into additional tools, saving you loads of time and frustration.
   

3. Temporal queries

Improve decision making and business efficiency with this enhanced GO Publisher 2.0 feature, enabling 4-Dimensional spatio-temporal data queries. Supporting all ISO 19108 Temporal Operators, this additional query functionality enables GO Publisher WFS to solve key use cases for the Aviation, Met, Geoscience and Defence domains
   

4. Stored queries

Simplify the implementation of your web services by writing and storing queries for increased performance and security. New to the WFS 2.0 specification, Stored Queries allow you to cache / restrict a query on the server side, solving two key use-cases: 1) Restricting users from running queries to bring down your server; 2) Enabling content deliverly networks to provide extensive scaling
   

5. Two-stage deployment

Implement robust and scalable web services with GO Publisher 2.0 using two-stage deployment. GO Publisher has always been one of the highest performing WFS implementations on the market. Two stage deployment takes this one step further, enabling organisations to deploy 1000's of WFS instances but minimal setup and install requirements (just 2 clicks!)
   

6. XML schema viewer

Access and view the XML/GML schema you are working with using an in-built intuitive viewer. In line with our strategy to provide a single unified tool, this new features enable you to graphically view the schema you are publishing to. No more need for additional tools for view the schema, as its all integrated into GO Publisher Desktop.
   

7. Security

Secure your data over WFS with in-built support for:

  • https deployment
  • Authentication using LDAP and Active directory
  • Digital signatures over SOAP
  • Encryption over SOAP
   

8. Productivity enhancement updates

9. Additional platform support

For the enterprise we've got support for 64bit installers for Windows Server and Windows 7 and we've greatly improved our integration with JBOSS
