Additional INSPIRE compliant training

With training courses to suit all skill levels -- from first time user to the seasoned professional - Snowflake offers a comprehensive on-site and off-site training portfolio for INSPIRE.

The Geography Markup Language (GML) is the sole data exchange format for INSPIRE data themes. To comply with the directive, organisations must encode their data in GML (ensuring that it validates to the GML Application Schema) and make it available to the wider INSPIRE community via one or more of the INSPIRE data services.

Snowflake is Europe's only training provider in the Geography Markup Language (GML) and has delivered courses to numerous leading organisations throughout Europe, including Dutch Kadaster, EU Joint Research Council, UK Ministry of Defence, Met Office and Hyrdographic Office.

The following courses are excellent pre-requisites to gain an understanding of GML and standards based data exchange within INSPIRE

  • GML Fundamentals

A one day introductory course in the Geographic Markup Language (GML), with practical examples of INSPIRE GML Application Schemas. Now available as an online eLearning course.
  • GML Hands On

A two day workshop based course in the design, creation and extension of GML application schemas.

Before starting on your INSPIRE implementation, why not attend our INSPIRE Essentials 1 day course which provides a detailed understanding on best practice and implementing the INSPIRE directive.
